The wedding process almost always begins with the purchase of an engagement ring. Having a jeweler that you trust, offers only the best diamonds, and the most unique bands is going to leave you and your fiance very happy for many years.
I am very happy to announce that Summer Jean Photography is now partnering with Jensen Jewelers!
With every engagement ring purchased from Jensen Jewelers, you will receive a gift bag full of all kinds of goodies. In that bag, you will find a coupon good for $150 off of any wedding package that I offer!

So, if you are looking for a beautiful diamond ring from a trusted and “stylish” jeweler, you want me to be your photographer, and you want some $$ off of your wedding package, make sure you shop at Jensen Jewelers in Hudsonville!

Aaron and Sarah are one of the sweetest couples that I have ever met and I just loved being a part of their wedding day! The details they incorporated were so totally them….and I loved everything about it!
Aaron and Sarah live near and work in Washington D.C. They have some pretty impressive careers that I am sure are pretty demanding. So, the fact that they pulled off this small, intimate, simple and beautiful wedding was no surprise at all. I have a feeling this couple has it all together!
The wedding was held at Sarah’s parents beautiful home in Grand Rapids. There was rain predicted in the morning but it held off and turned into a beautiful day!
Sarah purchased her gorgeous dress at The Bridal Lane in Dorr. I love this dress.
Flowers were done by Gayle VanderLaan Florist .
The vegetarian meal (which was absolutely delish….my mouth is watering just thinking about it!) was done by Catering by Martha’s
There are MANY more pictures in the slideshow so make sure you scroll all the way down to view them!
Aaron & Sarah, thank you so much for inviting me to share your delightful day with you! There were many times during your wedding day where people came up to me and said, Aaron and Sarah have total confidence in you. I hope I didn’t disappoint!
You are a beautiful couple and I wish you SO many happy and blessed years together!

Oh my word, you two crack me up! Love this!

Their rings are one of a kind! Designed with their initials around the band.

Ummm, yeah. That is really cool!

I love to camp. And, I never get to do it. My husband is a golf course superintendent and I am super busy in the summer so I have pretty much given up on camping for awhile. So, when our friends invited us up to Charlevoix this weekend, we couldn’t resist! It’s just a short little 2 night deal but we are super excited!
I am working on a TON of sessions right now but I wanted to leave you with a little sample of what I will be posting next week.
Aaron and Sarah’s sweet and beautiful wedding

Jessica and Sos’s engagement session. Probably my favorite e-session to date.

And, two absolutely adorable and fun girls!

This is Megan and she is going to be a senior at Unity Christian High School this year. I spent the most perfect summer evening with Megan, her mom, and her sister out in Holland while taking Megan’s senior pictures. We wandered around downtown (which is crazy on Thursday nights) and then along the lakeshore.
Megan, it was so nice getting to know you! I think you are an absolutely beautiful girl and I am sure you have all kinds of great things in store for your future. And, I am sorry for bringing you to Hope College when you plan on going to Calvin! My bad!

I imagine it is pretty hard to get a family this large together so when it happens, it calls for a family picture!
This is the McKeown family and I travelled up to Cadillac to spend the afternoon with them. They are actually relatives of my husband Ryan so I had such a good time taking their pictures and getting to know them more. Dan and Sharon (in the middle) have a beautiful home on a lake in Cadillac so we just stuck right around there!
Thanks everyone for having me take your families pictures! And, for inviting me to stick around afterwards to sit around and chat!

You know, I have been the part of some fun weddings in my past and this one is at the top of my list!
Mike and Megan are absolutely adorable together. Not only did I have a great time at their wedding but I also had a great time editing their images. I just love the way they laugh with each other and the looks they exchange. Their love for each other is very evident!
Their wedding took place in the beautiful town of Pentwater, Michigan at The Gazebo on the Village Green. It was a warm and humid day and a perfect day to be near the water!
The reception took place at Lincoln Hills Golf Club in Ludington, Michigan.
Mike and Megan did a great job planning their wedding in Michigan since they both live in Denver, CO. The details were beautiful and fun. Megan’s mom made the cake (which was adorable!), the hair accessories and cake toppers were bought off of etsy.com, the flowers smelled heavenly, and the band…..they were awesome. Oregon Dream Child… I am a fan! I pretty much liked every single thing about this wedding.
A special thank you to my friend and photoextrodinaire, Katie DeWinter for tagging along with me that day.
Mike and Megan, you are such a sweet and genuine couple and I wish you all of the best. Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your special day!

I LOVE this ring shot. The flower was picked by Megan’s mom.

Thumbs Up!

And, the slideshow!

This handsome guy is Katie’s younger brother. He joined us for the first part of our session so that we could grab some nice portraits of him and I must say, he was such a good sport! Of course, he is used to being with a bunch of girls since he has three sisters!
Thanks Dan and Cindy for having me take your kids pictures. It is so fun to get to know them more. You have a great family!

Last week I met up with Katie for her senior session! You might remember Katie (or Kate) from a few posts ago as she is my rep for Unity High School. She also happens to be my second cousin so it is always fun to catch up and get to know her more.
Katie is a great swimmer and is on the swim team at Unity High School. She is also a lifeguard and is giving my little guy, Carson some swimming lessons this week! When I asked her what she wanted to do after high school (the dreaded question…I know) she said that she is not 100% sure but it will definitely have something to do with the water. It’s where she feels most herself and comfortable.
Katie, you are an absolutely beautiful girl (on the inside and outside) and I had so much fun taking your senior portraits! I can’t wait to see what is in store for your future!
Up next, little man Danny and Mike & Megan’s wedding!

Katie, you have the most perfect skin!
