I am so excited to show you Summer Jean Photography’s new website! I’ve been hard at work over the past couple of weeks designing, uploading, and picking out our favorite images.
Some of the things I love most about this website are: how easy it us to use, how the blog is part of the website (no more having to keep up on two sites!) and obviously, the people gracing it’s pages!
Like I mentioned above, the blog is now an actual part of the website and not a separate page. It has the same look and feel and should make things less complicated. Now, you can stay up to date on the website and blog at the same time!

This goes down as one of my favorite baby sessions in a long time. And, I have had some stinken CUTE babies lately!
I had a maternity session with Sofia’s mom and dad last summer which you can view here. I loved that session and have been looking forward to meeting her ever since. She is an absolute doll. So happy and just ADORABLE! I had a perma-smile on my face while editing these!
This was also my very first session in the new studio! So far, I am loving what it has to offer.

I love this couple and can’t wait for their wedding at Spring Lake Country Club in June! I can pretty much guarantee that their wedding day will be warmer than their engagement session was! Hey, what do you expect in January? I love doing sessions in the “off” months. Jackets, cute hats, and white snow? Yes, please!

2010 went by so fast! I still can’t believe that it is 2011 and the middle of January!
It was a crazy year for Summer Jean Photography. I tried slowing down by limiting the number of sessions and weddings that I took on but it was still by far the busiest I have ever been. And, add having two children this year instead of one and I felt a little…overwhelmed. And, crazy. 
So, to all of my 2010 clients, thank you for trusting me with such important times in your lives. Thank you for inviting me into you families and for all of the good times. You guys are the best and I love my job even more because of you!
Here’s to 2011 and making it an even better year!
I’ve gone through and tried selecting my top 100 images of the year and then I decided I’m not stopping at 100. There are just too many that I love! So, here are my top 168!

Elise is probably the happiest three month old I have ever photographed! She was full of smiles and was absolute joy to be around.
Such a dainty little thing!
I love my job! I get to have my baby fix without actually having any more of my own. 
Love this next series!

I’ve been a bad blogger lately! I did take a few weeks off around Christmas from shooting so that was nice. But, I have some sessions from before my break and after that I need to post!
This is Brandt and Jenny. They received this engagement session as a gift from one of their dearest friends. Yay!
Brandt and Jenny both lived in Washington DC for some time and kept running into each other at random places! Now, Washington DC has almost 600,000 people that live there so I know that when God has two people meant to be together, they’ll be together! One night after many run-in’s Brandt noticed Jenny at a restuarant with a bunch of her girlfriends and he walks right over to her and ask for her number! Way to go, Brandt!
The couple is planning an August wedding and even though I am already booked for their date, I was so excited to do their e-session. I had such a great time! It was blasted cold outside but we got some super cute shots as we wandered around Grand Rapids.
Thanks Jenny and Brandt for putting up with the cold! I wish you all of the best for your wedding and for many, MANY years beyond that!
Their third date they both wore their aviator’s. <3 it!

Carly was probably my last senior of the year and that makes me kind of sad. I’ve had the best seniors to work with this year! Carly was no exception. She was so sweet, beautiful, and fun to be around!
Carly came along with her mom and sister and we roamed around downtown GR for awhile and stopped into the studio for a couple indoor shots.
Oh, you ask about that awesome green couch? Yeah, her mom brought it! How fun is that?
Carly, thank you so much for choosing me to be your senior photographer! I wish you all of the best during your senior year and after!
